Managing Your Brains with SWOT

Life’s Like This — There will always be problems in life that need to be solved. Years ago, I took a communication course in college and was taught a process for solving problems called SWOT, which stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This process is used mostly as a business tool, but I discovered it can be equally effective as a personal tool that can be helpful in solving many different kind of problems. The focus of this article will be on how SWOT can be used in solving personal problems. One of the attributes I like about this process is that you are creating a visual representation of the problem so that you can more clearly visualize what the different components of the problem are. And from there, you can make a more informed choice about a decision you need to make.
