Politics and Morals

Life’s Like This — Our elected officials often mirror societies values. It wasn’t long ago that I had a great deal of interest in politics. Nowadays, I care about who is elected but I’m just not as passionately involved in discussing the merits of candidates or the issues we are facing today. It doesn’t mean I don’t care about them, but the season of my activism has passed. But I do care about finding the right candidate that reflects the values I embrace. And to know if a candidate embraces those values, I need to be informed. One of the best resources to help you be informed is the League of Women Voters. The focus of this article, however, is to share with you how elected officials often mirror our own values. Continue reading
